Seriously, no I don’t. History and entertainment are full of examples of people whose looks did not fit the standard of beautiful or handsome, but who left their marks on the world. It only matters that you know who you are inside and that you treat others as you would want to be treated. A sense of humor helps, too. I take inspiration from Abraham Lincoln, who said “Ugly people must be God’s favorites, for he made so many of us.”

Actor Bill Oberst Jr. in a still from the lost classic horror short Something Wicked Dwells. The film was shot in 2010 but became the subject of a legal battle between producers and will likely never be released. Oberst played the lead role in the gothic and poetic piece set in an ancient dungeon where three schackled prisoners wait to be dragged in their turn into the cave of a ferocious (and hungry) demon.
